Thanks, Helen! I have a huge gardenia bush outside my front door. It's had hundreds of blooms. I'm painting as many still lifes of them as I can before the heat gets them.

A lot of flowers died to make this painting!

Rahina, thanks - this long retangular format reminds me (for some reason) of reading sheet music. I tried to pay attention to the rhythm in the composition.

Hi Linda,

I love the composition and the length of the painting reinforced by the horizontal lines. It has a direct simplicity that is memorable
:plain glass, against a duo plain background enriched only by light : no distracting patterns but the impact is from the flowers themselves. Although I am not a painter I can see how you worked with many colours to show white in all its glory. Beautiful!
